What We Do
Cornerstone Property Management is a Southeast Tennessee 501(c)(3) organization building a new standard for affordable housing in the Tennessee Tri-State region and beyond. We unite sound property operations with resident education, voluntary supports, faith and community partnerships, and healthy-building design—so housing becomes more than shelter; it becomes a stable foundation for a person’s next chapter.
ONE ORGANIZATION • ONE INTEGRATED MODEL
Affordable Housing Development & Management— Developing and operating affordable communities, including adaptive reuse, through strong compliance, stewardship, community-centered design, and daily operational excellence.
Leasing with Care, Housing with Purpose (LCHP)— Cornerstone’s flagship training and renter-education framework. Property teams learn empathy, clarity, de-escalation, consistency, and trauma-informed practice; residents gain practical tools for understanding the lease, finances, neighbor relationships, and long-term housing stability.
Healthy Homes & Resident Voice— WELL Building Standard principles and the Social Determinants of Health inform healthier spaces and operations. Surveys, resident councils, and other feedback channels help residents influence community life and services.
Tools & Doors— “Tools” are voluntary supports that help residents remove barriers; “Doors” are resident-chosen opportunities and goals. Services are offered in partnership and are never a condition of tenancy or housing assistance.
Shared Freedom— An 18-month, faith-based partnership connecting residents who choose to participate with trained Church Allies and community partners. Together they pursue one or two resident-selected next-chapter goals through mutuality, encouragement, practical help, and co-powerment.
The Cornerstone Experience— Clear expectations begin at application and move-in, followed by education, responsive management, community connection, and access to voluntary supports. The aim is fewer avoidable evictions, stronger resident stability, healthier landlord-resident relationships, and measurable well-being.

Cornerstone is rooted in the Christian conviction that every person bears God-given dignity and should be met with truth, compassion, stewardship, and hope. Our faith shapes how we serve; it is never used to pressure residents or determine access to housing. We welcome people of every faith and no faith. Through churches and aligned partners, we create voluntary relationships that support restoration of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
